I am an Enrolled Agent who specializes in small business accounting and bookkeeping services.
As a former tax manager with over eight years in public accounting, I have extensive experience in analyzing and understanding financial records to ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulations. This background gives me a deep comprehension of proper accounting practices and the ability to maintain meticulous books.
My attention to detail and expertise in areas like income recognition, asset capitalization, and deductible expenses allows me to record transactions accurately from the start. This lays a strong foundation for financial statements and tax filings down the line.
My tax knowledge helps me identify potential issues or optimization opportunities while the books are being kept, not just at tax time. This enables timely adjustments and strategies to strengthen compliance and tax positioning.
I started Coyle Business Solutions after realizing I could give my bookkeeping & advisory clients a lot more advice, support, and one-on-one attention than I was able to while also managing a full load of tax clients. My goal is to have each of my clients be confident in their business finances and able to make informed financial decisions for their business, themselves, their family, and even their employees.
I am a proud member of the Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals, acting as Second Vice President for my second term and am also the chair of MSATP’s Education Committee. In addition, I graduated from MSATP’s Young Professional Leadership Program.
During my free time, I am an avid runner, a devoted reader, and a binge TV watcher with a deep appreciation for a delicious cup of coffee (or four). I love spending quality time with my husband, daughter, and two pups, Root and Blue, and you can always find me cheering on my nephews at their various activities.
What is an Enrolled Agent and how is it different from a CPA?
An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. EAs and CPAs are both knowledgeable, experienced professionals who are required to maintain high ethical standards. The primary difference is that EAs specialize in taxation, and CPAs can specialize in taxation and more.
